Whisky

The most used cereal for the manufacturing is barley, but according to the style of whiskies, we can also find corn, rye or wheat... There are two main types of whiskies, the malt whiskies or the grain whiskies. Malt whisky is made from 100% malted barley while grain whisky is produced from a mixture of cereals: corn, rye, wheat and barley. These two types of whisky can then be worked in two different ways, either in single or blended. Le single malt/grain est le produit d’une seule distillerie tandis que le blended malt/grain est le mélange de whiskies provenant de plusieurs distilleries et on parle de blended/blend lorsque l’on a associé ensemble des whiskies de malt et des whiskies de grain.
