The winemaker

The small village of Peissy the heart of the vineyards of Geneva and only a few kilometers from the city, home to the family estate since 1794. With a rich wine tradition of 220 years, Domaine Les Perrières is now run by Bernard Rochaix , assisted by the young generation that perpetuates the know-how of the culture of the vine with passion and rigor. Together, they have mastered the art of blending classical winemaking with the latest knowledge in oenology, with the collaboration of talented winemaker Sebastian Schwarz.   DIVERSITY AND QUALITY WINES Domaine Les Perrières offers a variety of seventeen varieties, operated on nearly a hundred hectares. Each grape variety is its culture and its own winemaking technique, one that will allow him to fully express its authenticity and taste. Environmentally, the vines are grown according to federal standards called Integrated Production (P.I.) Regularly, Domaine Les Perrières is found on the top step of the podium in national and international competitions. His wines are enjoyed on the best restaurants in Switzerland and elsewhere.   Peissy, AN EXCEPTIONAL VINEYARD 1912 marks the history of the village of Peissy and its vineyards. A written from that time formalized the donation of his land to the Priory of Satigny. This ancient culture of the vine is celebrated every year in November at the village feast of St. Martin. The soil, marked by molassic and clay soil and the mild climate of our region give our wines a warm sap that highlights the fruity varietals.
