- Origin: in the Condrieu commune, this is a single parcel planted on the vast amphitheater of the Coteau de Vernon, facing due south. "Vertige" is not the name of a locality, but is inspired by this steep landscape. - Terroir: biotite granite. - Grape variety: Viognier. - Viticulture: vines planted at high density, 8000 /10000 vines per hectare. Insecticide- and pesticide-free, the number of treatments is limited according to the weather, very little fertilizer is used, exclusively organic, respecting the balance of the soil and the plant. Control of vigor and yields, leaf thinning, green harvesting for better grape ripening. - Vinification: Grapes at the right stage of ripeness are harvested and sorted by hand. Only the best juices from the pressing are kept. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in barrels, using natural yeasts. - Ageing: 18 months in barrels, on lees, without racking, with regular stirring of the lees. - Production: approx. 5,300 bottles.
Aroma
Expressive nose of ripe yellow fruit, with notes of brioche and bread crust due to ageing, plus a few exotic notes (coconut...).
Taste
Dazzling volume on the palate, finishing with mineral freshness and a spicy finish. Harmonious blend of power and balance.
