In a few words ...

"1896"...no, that's not the vintage of this bottle. It's the year when, in the Coteaux du Layon, a group of winegrowers decided to found an association based on the assertion that "wine should only be made from grapes". In 1896, in Rablay sur Layon, "natural" wine meant wine without added sugar... For the debate was already lively at that time, between those in favor of "sugaring" and those opposed to it, who were in the minority, and whose point of view did not prevail in the practices and regulations of the siècle that followed...

Appearance

Beautiful gold color with green highlights.

Aroma

Aromas of white flowers (rose, seringa, hawthorn) and white fruit (pear, peach), with a hint of minerality.

Taste

Light and pure, with more white fruit than candied fruit. A balance between sweetness and acidity, enhanced by a mineral note, makes for a fresh, lively palate.
