In 1896, in Rablay sur Layon, "natural" wine meant wine without added sugar... For the debate was already lively at that time, between those in favor of "sugaring" and those opposed to it, who were in the minority, and whose point of view did not prevail in the practices and regulations of the siècle that followed...
