Domaine du coulet - matthieu barret - billes noires 2015the domaine du coulet is located in cornas, in the rhône valley. It has belonged to matthieu barret since 1998. It offers two distinct ranges of wines produced on the basis of the same convictions: the « domaine » range, made exclusively from grapes grown in the domaine du coulet vineyard, which focuses on the expression of the minerals and terroirs of cornas. His other range, matthieu barret sarl, is based on sharing with other producers. The way in which the different selections are created is multifaceted and depends on the partners, their desires and the end goal, which must be as close as possible to the vineyard. The vines are cultivated organically and biodynamically, and the black beads are made from 65-year-old Syrah vines grown on granite soil at an altitude of 320 meters. The grapes are destemmed and pigmented once a day during fermentation, which lasts 3 weeks. No inputs are added. The wine is matured for 12 months in 10-year-old 400- and 500-liter barrels, and for 1 year in ovoacute vats and diamond vats. Best enjoyed from 5 years of age.cépage : 100% syrah
