In a few words ...
Combining power and freshness, this vintage is in keeping with the style of Maison Canard-Duchêne wines. Authentic Vintage 2008 is a blend of Pinot Noir (36%), Chardonnay (32%) and Pinot Meunier (32%) from crus such as Hautvillers, Avize, Le Mesnil sur Oger, Ay and Rilly-la-Montagne. The quality of the grapes is exceptional, and the sugar/acidity balance of the musts perfect. When the vins clairs were tasted in spring 2009, Laurent Fédou, Cellar Master at Maison Canard-Duchêne, decided to vintage 2008.
2008 est reconnu comme un Grand Millésime, dans le top 10 depuis 1945. Cette belle année renoue avec des vins fins, élégants, complexes, vifs et très aptes au vieillissement.
