In a few words ...
Château des Combes was bought by Pierre Ducourt in 1858. Located in the commune of Ladaux, just a stone's throw from our winery, this property is the historic cradle of our family. This vineyard produces a very typical Bordeaux red, a subtle blend of different batches aged in barrels and vats. Cold prefermentation maceration for 24 to 48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats at around 26°c, followed by 3 weeks of gentle vatting at 30°c. Run-off and pressing, separation of free-run and press juices. Malolactic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats at around 18°c. Aged in oak barrels and stainless steel vats. Clay-limestone

Aroma
Expressive nose of fruit soup with a hint of liquorice.
Taste
The palate is greedy, with hints of wild berries and marshmallow, softened by a hint of milk toffee.
