In a few words ...
Three large parcels located on the best terroirs of Pauillac form the vineyard of this 5th Cru Classé. Aged in barrels with 30 to 40% new wood, Grand Puy Ducasse wines offer great aromatic complexity and remarkable tannic structure, with excellent ageing potential. J. Suckling : 92-93/100
"If the bouquet is less expressive than the color, an intense, brilliant Bordeaux, it is no less interesting for its notes of red fruits and spices on a melted woody base. A touch of leather is a reminder of Merlot's place in the blend (48%). Ample on the attack, the palate is underpinned by tannins that are still firm and lively, calling for cellaring."

Appearance
Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.
Aroma
The bouquet consists of black and red fruits, roasting, licorice and leather.
