    Cuvée Smith Haut Lafitte is made from 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. This classically-styled wine features a fine expression of the Günzian gravel terroir, with unique smoky notes.

    "With its deep, brilliant color, this wine's powerful bouquet favors aromas of vanilla, toast, mocha and chocolate, the legacy of eighteen months' barrel ageing (60% new). However, the fruit - blackberry, blueberry - is very present; underlying the nose, it takes over on the palate, which reveals tannins that are still fiery on the finish. Ample and long, the structure is a guarantee of solid potential."

    Appearance

    The wines have a dense but lighter robe than the medoc. The hue is ruby ​​with a touch ranging from purple to brick depending on the evolution.

    The bouquet is often fruity, with currant and other red and black fruits to which are added smoked or roasted notes.
