Champagne dhondt grellet - initially - extra brutthe domaine dhondt-grellet is located in flavigny, on the outskirts of avize, in the heart of champagne's côte des blancs. The 6-hectare vineyard is planted with chardonnay (in the communes of cramant, chouilly and cuis) and pinot noir (in avenay-val-d’or in the great marne valley). In 1986, eric dhondt and edith grellet decided to stop selling grapes to private individuals and launched dhondt-grellet. Their son, Adrien, now in his twenties, took over the winemaking and quickly took his family's wines to another level. He has slowly expanded the range of champagnes produced by isolating their holdings across the villages of cramant and cuis and bottling pure expressions of chardonnay.Initially a blend of chardonnay (50%), pinot noir (30%) and pinot meunier (20%). Produced in a traditional brut style, adrien sees this cuvée as a representation of the three villages where he works - sezanne, cuis and avenay val d'or. The base vintage accounts for 70% of the blend, with the remainder coming from a perpetual harvest dating back to 1986. The dosage is 6 g/l.cépages : 50% chardonnay, 30% pinot noir, 20% pinot meunier
