domaine goepp gérard et fils was founded in the 50s by jacques goepp, who was later joined by his brother andré. Following in their footsteps, gilbert took over the estate in 1987, then his brother gérard in 1990. In 2019, his sons, clément and sylvain, took over, making up the 3rd generation. While sylvain knew very early on that his future was closely linked to the estate by training in viticulture, clément initially trained in landscaping. Their passions and professions came together and found their full meaning at the head of the estate. From the outset, they have been committed to preserving the family heritage by perpetuating tradition, keeping the vines grassed to prevent soil erosion, and harvesting exclusively by hand. It is in this spirit of working with respect for the living that they have decided to become certified organic in 2020. The vines are spread over 3 communes at the foot of Mont sainte-odile: barr, bernardswiller and, of course, heiligenstein.
