The winemaker

Since 2007, Charly Thevenet, last of the line, makes wine under his name a wine appellation Régnié, called Grain and Granite. As the family estate where his father, Jean-Paul Thevenet, continues to promote the wines 'natures', Régnié of the vines are organically without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. This remarkable wine heritage - the oldest vines of Gamay reach the age of 70 - the soils are granite with very little soil, the roots reach quickly the rock that brings minerality frame to wine. The young winemaker harvest ripe and healthy grapes. In the winery, winemaking is simply performed in traditional carbonic fermentation on natural yeast. Fined or filtered, wines receive only a minimal dose of sulfur. Bus youth, Beaujolais area Charly Thevenet offer the fruity characteristics of the Gamay; with age, they take flowers, spices ... These wines have a very good aging potential.
