Since 1897, the house of yvon mau has been perpetuating its savoir-faire in bordeaux. Today, the creation of "Château la fréneraie" is a heartfelt tribute to freixenet, the group's parent company and the world's 9th largest winegrowing group. Château la fréneraie refers to the origins of freixenet. It all began in the 19th century on the sunny, family-owned land of la freixeneda in Catalonia: the equivalent of "frêneraie" in French. A place, lined with ash and oak trees, conducive to the production of "warm" wines, where tasting goes hand in hand with conviviality. Today, the vineyards of Château la fréneraie, pampered by yvon mau since the 1980s, give birth to a cuvée that reflects the heritage of our Spanish roots.
