Always on the lookout for new grape varieties to create and new vineyards to exploit, eric and sophie acquired the château les ricaudelles estate in 2014. Located in the commune of caplong, the château les ricaudelles vineyard has been extensively restructured by the team in order to plant new grape varieties and diversify the range of products on offer. The choice was made to restructure (plant at higher density) and innovate: malbec, a red grape variety, was planted on a large proportion of the plots. This gives the wine special characteristics. Systematic de-stemming; pre-fermentation cold maceration (3-4 days) and vatting of around 5 weeks, depending on quality and regular tastings; micro-oxygenation under the marc. short pruning; controlled natural grassing; increased trellising height; systematic leaf-thinning on the rising side; controlled, well-considered treatments; early use of the berry analysis system to reason harvest dates. Clay-limestone and clay-loam.

Aroma
deep, complex nose combining aromas of candied black fruits (confectionery, pastries), liquorice, blond tobacco and woody notes of powdery cocoa and light vanilla.
Taste
Gourmet finish reminiscent of confectionery and cocoa, the wine's balance ends on a fresh note, revealing its aromatic potential.
