In 1909, Joseph Ballan bought the property from Monsieur Louis Sarraute at auction. He had two daughters, Reine and Renée. Reine quickly took over the running of the estate, passionately involved in the various tasks in the vineyard. In 1943, Reine married Joseph BRAVO, who continued to run the estate until the late 1990s. Since 1997, Marie-Josée, daughter of Reine Ballan and Joseph Bravo, has been managing the estate, passionately developing the image and quality of the wines from this legendary property with her husband, Michel Pierre.
