The winemaker

The property is located in the Bordeaux region in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers on an area of 30 hectares, 18.5 hectares operated vineyard today. In 1825 Damien Confolan long training sawyer, arriving from his native Auvergne, falls under the spell of the Bordeaux region and decided to settle there. For many years he worked as a laborer in order to realize his dream of acquiring a domain in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards. So in 1850, he became the proud owner of La Loubière. In creating the Château la Loubière, Damien Confolan and his son Bartholomew had at heart to develop a generous and elegant wine blending perfectly with the cuisine of their native region. In 1890, the property grew with the marriage of Mary Cofolan, daughter of Barthélémy, with Aristide Roux. Cooper and cellar master who owns the neighboring property with 10 hectares. A marriage in which their love grew and flourished where their wine. Because today is the 6th generation that is at the head of Château La Loubière Teycheney with Patrick and his parents Marie Micheline Roux and André Teycheney. They have managed to preserve this legacy by dedicating their lives to improving their vineyards and their wines. The area remains a family-owned, independent company and especially human scale, who combined traditional and modern for its production and winemaking. This ensures consistent quality of its wines while maintaining an artisanal side, dear to this ancient craft. This family story, where the expertise and passion are transmitted, Ms. Roux Teycheney- received them from his grandfather, Aristide Roux, who had told him little that "giving love to land and the vines, she always made you giving you a good wine. " This same passion she tries to convey to his great-granddaughter, Jade who love to watch the vineyards from the top of the tower Chappe 18th century and renovated in 2009.
