The Couhins vineyard will soon reach 30 hectares: seven hectares of white, planted with 95% Sauvignon Blanc and a complement of Sauvignon Gris; 23 hectares of red, planted with Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), the remainder Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The varied terroir includes a gravelly hilltop, a clay-limestone bedrock and a sandy-clay zone. The vineyard has acquired new production equipment adapted to parcel-based vinification. J.
