The winemaker

It all starts in 1646 with Sir William Rahoul who built this beautiful chartreuse and gives it its name. The field passes after the revolution in the hands of the Balguerie family, who extended and embellished the castle and then develops a real wine activity on the Bordeaux. This diversity contributes to the complexity of the wines but also to minimize the risks of climate incidents. The sandy-gritty nature of Château Rahoul is closely related to the presence of the Garonne river and to climate change by the end of the Ice Age that triggered powerful flooding and deposition of these serious precious. Very light, very early (because very draining, warm night), these soils favor the maturity of the berries and the creation of large very elegant wines with delicate tannins. The wines of Château Rahoul not afraid to take their feminine nature and the latest vintages play on seduction.
