In a few words ...

The champagne house jacquesson & fils was founded in 1798 in dizy. From the outset, it was a household name, for after being awarded a gold medal for the quality of its cellars by Napoleon I, Jacquesson champagne was considered a favorite of the emperor. The 19th century was an eventful one for the company, which rose rapidly under the leadership of Adolphe Jacquesson, reaching a production level of one million bottles. Following financial difficulties and a succession crisis, it was placed under the guardianship of three notables in 1873. In the meantime, Jacquesson patented the muselet in 1844 and participated in the creation of Krug. The house, which boasts some 30 hectares of vineyards in avize, aÿ, dizy and hautvillers, subsequently passed through several hands. This is champagne at its best, in terms of terroir-driven wines with an assertive personality. The credit for this goes to the Chiquet brothers, jean-hervé in sales and laurent in vinification, two enthusiasts of great wines from around the world who have raised the standards in the vineyard and cellar to the very highest level.
