In a few words ...

Jean-françois ganevat returned to the combe de rotalier in the jura region in 1998, after many years in chassagne-montrachet with jean-marc morey. Close to the philosophy of natural wines without claiming to be one, the winemaker has perfect mastery of biodynamic viticulture. He has forged a very personal image of what a great wine should be: each parcel selection has a singular personality, with a variation in harmonies and tensions that reflects each terroir. Thanks to low yields and hard work in the vineyard, the reds, increasingly matured in terracotta jars, now reach a fantastic level of expression. Also worth mentioning are the sublime vin jaune and the incomparable les vignes de mon père, a savagnin aged for ten years. New cuvées are arriving, made from old, forgotten local grape varieties, planted at high density on the hillsides... The wines of recent vintages have never been so good, ambassadors of the high vibration that the Jura can achieve. Domaine Ganevat's Crémant du Jura is made from Chardonnay grapes harvested early to retain acidity. The juices are then aged in demi-muids, where they remain for a few days.
