The winemaker
1000 winegrowing families working tirelessly on the 6000 hectares of the winegrowing region... These men and women have chosen to settle on a site that is steeped in history. Generations before them have developed winegrowing techniques and passed them on to each other over the years.
Domaine de Pécoulas makes its entrance. Planted on slopes and well exposed to the sun, the vines can produce grapes that will reach perfect ripeness. Of course, the predominantly clay-limestone soil has played a part in shaping these high-quality grapes. The estate's rich geological variety enables Jacques Eldin and his son Laurent to produce some fifteen different cuvées. They all have their own particularities, so that you'll never tire of them...
You'll find red varieties such as the famous Syrah and Merlot, as well as white varieties such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Grenache Blanc and Sauvignon. Thanks to their know-how, our duo handle vineyard work and vinification to perfection, with flawless methodicity. Each vine is carefully tended, as is the soil, to ensure that the grapes entering the winery are perfect. Once the grapes arrive, the vinification begins, and the winemakers let their imaginations run wild. Their flagship cuvée is undoubtedly "Mersy", a subtle blend of Merlot and Syrah aged in oak barrels...
