The winemaker

Since deciding to set up Domaine Huvelin in 2015, Thibaud has converted the land to organic farming (label cuvées from 2020), pampering his vines to bring out their finest grapes. Domaine Huvelin is a small estate on the right bank of the Rhône, not far from Uzès, Avignon and the Cévennes in the Gard region. Although composed of plots classified as Côtes du Rhône Villages, the wines, since 2019, are claimed as Vin de France. In the vineyard, tractors are used sparingly to avoid compacting the soil, so working on foot is the watchword. The main stages of the process are respected, right up to hand-picking and plot sorting, to ensure that the best grapes make it into the vat. For Thibaud, 80% of the work takes place in the vineyard. If the grapes are good, the wine will be exceptional!
