Montus prestige" was made for the first time in 1985, surprising the world with a 100% tannat cuvée, selected from the best terroirs in the vineyard. Professionals and connoisseurs alike are snapping it up, and almost all the production is sold en primeur. Exceptional ageing potential. this 2011 is an extreme wine: incredible density, exemplary body definition and extraordinary fruit ripeness. The wine is 15.5°! 100% tannat. Average age of 30 years. The highest plots on the estate: steep slopes covered with rolled pebbles, on a subsoil of layered brown and orange clays. Southern exposure, warm soils favoring high ripeness. Aged for 14 to 16 months in new barrels. Aged for at least 20 years.
