Cuvée XL recalls the memory of Alain Brumont's ancestors, who bought a new 600-liter foudre (half-muid) during a great vintage. The Tannat would then spend 36 to 40 months in it, toasted with Adour pebbles. Tannat's richness, depth and concentration make such long ageing possible. This unique ageing process gives Tannat wines a complex bouquet (cocoa, mocha, leather, cigar box) and a full, mellow mouthfeel. We recommend waiting 15 years before drinking.
