In a few words ...

La Bourgeoise comes from old Sauvignon vines on flinty slopes originally farmed by the monks of St-Satur. This renowned terroir gives the wines exceptional minerality and persistence on the palate. Small yields, inter-row grassing, use of organic fertilizers only, limited inputs: everything is done to ensure that the grapes are as perfect as possible. This wine is only bottled after a year's ageing in vats and barrels. 93/100 WINE ENTHUSIAST on the previous vintage.

Tasting notes

Appearance

Elegant, pale color.

Aroma

Ce vin aux arômes de pierres à fusil et au bouquet épicé, puissant en fruit et en corps, rappelle la fleur de Sauvignon et la sève de vigne.

Wine Fruity | Vegatable

Taste

On the palate, this cuvée is reminiscent of Sauvignon flowers and vine sap. This prestigious selection, with its exemplary balance, unequalled finesse and concentration, will assert its elegance throughout its 10 years of bottle ageing.

Exactly as described. Beautiful minerality, lovely harmony on the palate with fruity aromas and lots of freshness. A very fine 2011. Bcp de plaisir avec un canard cuisson sous vide de n basse température
