In a few words ...
Cuvée: longitude terroir: côte des blancs: vertus, oger, avize grape varieties: 100% chardonnay, from côte des blancs only vinification: hand-harvested, gently pressed, juices lightly settled, then directly poured into barrels. Natural alcoholic and malolactic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in barrels and stockinger tuns. 40% reserve wines started in 2004. Ageing: 1st year on natural lees without filtration or fining, then blending and tirage. Second fermentation and aging on laths for at least another 2 years. Each bottle is hand-disgorged 6 months before release. Tasting notes: pale gold in color with fine mousse, the nose presents aromas of lemon zest and white flowers, in a very pure, mine'ral and straightforward style. The palate is fine, lively and elegant, with a fresh, mineral finish. Serving suggestions: festive meals, as an aperitif or with desserts? Distinction: 93/100 robert parker, 15.5/20 bettane & desseauve.
