Maranges surprises with a nose of ripe plums and cherries, spiced with southern notes of cumin and jasmine. Intense, concentrated candied fruit on the palate, with the minerality of the limestone terroir in the background. This wine is best enjoyed as an aperitif, to take advantage of its exuberant fruitiness, but it will also work wonders with cuisines from elsewhere, such as tagines.
