domaine recerca, which means "research" in Catalan, was created by jess albero and laurent pujol in the catalan corbières. Together with her husband chris, who passed away too soon, Jess was at the origin of the zulu range of wines. Based in Vingrau, where part of their 4.5-hectare vineyard is located, they also have a plot in Paziols. Working as naturally as possible, they banish all inputs. The wines are pure, straightforward, fresh and well-balanced. The mas samso cuvée from domaine la recerca, made from maccabeu vines, is a real treat for the senses. The nose reveals delicious notes of yellow fruit, citrus, white fruit, sweet spices and a hint of flowers. The palate is fresh and juicy, thanks to a magnificent balance between round fruit and mineral tension. Our favorite
