Chamirey's Premier Cru Clos du Roi is made up of 4 contiguous plots. The oldest vines were planted in 1970, the youngest in 2002.
"Élevé quinze mois en fûts de chêne (dont 40 % de fûts neufs), ce Clos du Roy révèle néanmoins une belle qualité de fruits (cerise, cassis) accompagnée de senteurs épicées et vanillées. Le palais, dense et savoureux, dévoile lui aussi un beau fruité franc et très persistant, qui tient les tanins en respect."
