"terroir: the vines are at an altitude of 280 metres. They are planted on marl-limestone soils. Considered one of the "emperors" of Mercurey's climats, this parcel of "croichots" planted with old vines is nestled in a south-facing basin, allowing the Pinot Noir to reveal all its finesse and depth. In the cellar: aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Tasting notes :Ruby-red in color, this wine evokes raspberry, strawberry, cherry and crisp fruit. Age gives it undergrowth accents, with spicy aromas of tobacco and cocoa beans.On the palate, it's a full-bodied wine, rich in body and fruit. The tannins can sometimes bring a mineral firmness in their early youth. Food pairings: rich and fleshy, it enhances entrecote, beef and lamb, braised or in sauce. On the cheese platter, it is equally well suited to soft and mature cheeses.
