Color: dense dark purple to violet, slightly viscous Smell: aromatic bouquet of fresh, sweet berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackcurrants) and brown spices, underscored by a hint of mocha chocolate and vanilla due to oak maturation Taste: juicy and full-bodied, with the aromatic berry fruit of the bouquet alongside notes of plum compote, cake spice and a hint of toast, the acidity is lively, prominent, the wood and tannins are rather noticeable in the background, integrated with notes of black tea leaves and baking cocoa, the finish is spicy, balanced and lively the merlot and cabernet-sauvignon grapes for the merlot reserva de montes come from the colchagua valley. All grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness, transported immediately to the winery and fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve as much of the varietal's characteristic fruitiness as possible. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wines are carefully racked and aged for six months in oak barrels. Only before bottling does montes blend its merlot with 15% cabernet sauvignon, elegantly completing the wine with even more backbone and structure. Allergene:enthält sulfite
