Taittinger Nocturne is a "dry" champagne made from 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. A blend of some thirty different crus from several harvests, this wine is aged for at least 4 years on laths before being disgorged. A dry dosage (17.5g/l cane sugar) combined with the maturity of slow cellar ageing gives this wine the roundness and smoothness required of a "night-time" champagne.
"Taittinger Nocturne is a late-night champagne. It can accompany a dessert just like foie gras with gingerbread, but it can also carry night owls, champagne lovers, through the night."
Appearance
Pale yellow with shimmering highlights. The bubbles form a delicate cordon of fine foam.
Aroma
The nose is subtle and delicate, revealing delicious aromas of yellow peach and dried apricot. The attack on the palate is supple and unctuous, while remaining very fresh.
Wine Fruity
Taste
The palate reveals flavors of raisin and fruit in syrup. The finish is long, supple and deliciously sweet. A mature wine, rich and round, Nocturne asserts itself with suavity.
