In a few words ...
100% Tinta del País from our Fuenteco- jo, La Cueva and Otero Joven vineyards surrounding the winery in Anguix, Burgos. They are planted on silty soils at an altitude of 780 meters. We began harvesting on October 8, taking advantage of the cool mornings. When the grapes were perfectly ripe, we selected and hand-picked the finest bunches in the vineyard and placed them in 20 kg crates. Once in the winery, we made a second selection by hand, eliminating the bunches least suited to this particular vinification. After destemming and gentle crushing, the grapes underwent alcoholic fermentation at a temperature below 28°C. After 19 days of fermentation and maceration, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels with weekly lees stirring over a two-month period. The wine was aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels (75%) and the remainder in second-hand French oak barrels. The wine was racked three times using traditional methods and bottled in May 2021.

Intense crimson color with a dark red rim and brilliant color.
Aroma
On the nose, notes of undergrowth and black fruit stand out: blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry jam enveloped in mocha, confectionery and spices like black pepper, licorice and clove in the background.

Taste
The palate is balanced, vibrant and fresh, with the fine, soft tannins characteristic of these Ribera del Duero wines. The aftertaste is fresh and lively, with good roundness and a very pleasant finish. An elegant wine with remarkable balance and excellent ageing potential.
