The winemaker

Cave de Liaudisaz currently manages 8.5 hectares of vineyards in five communes: Fully, Martigny, Charrat, Leytron, Saillon and Chamoson. At the winery, our philosophy can be summed up as follows: to age the wines without changing their natures, to work in the traditional way, without recourse to cutting-edge technology, without rigid principles, but with adaptation according to the conditions of the vintage and tasting. For white wines, this approach translates into a tendency to limit filtrations, and for reds, regular punch-downs with long macerations. Marie-Thérèse Chappaz has another passion: sweet wines! In 1996, together with other professionals, she created the Charte Grain Noble Confidentiel, whose main aim is to promote great wines withered on the vine, in keeping with Valais tradition.
