In the heart of Touraine, in Cheillé, jennifer bariou & thibault bodet acquired 5ha of vines in 2015, which they work organically and biodynamically. After stints at la grange tiphaine & chez lise et bertrand jousset, this winemaking couple settled in the heart of indre et loire. Vinification is input-free, with stainless steel vats used predominantly to preserve the integrity of the vibrant, fruity aromas that characterize their wines. A very small dose of so2 is added before bottling to stabilize the wines. We have great faith in this young domaine, which will continue to progress and reach a high level of quality. domaine bariou-baudet's cuvée vigne d'ys is made from old vines of grolleau, gamay and cabernet franc planted on silt and flinty clay soils. The nose reveals delicious notes of fresh black fruits, raspberries, redcurrants, cherries and a hint of spice. The palate is greedy and delicate, with lovely aromas of red and black fruits. The tannins are very light and drinkability is at its best! Glou glou!
