In the past, it was the field of a certain Bertin. The most famous of the Grands Crus, close to Combe Grisard to the south, is less steep than Clos de Bèze and cooler. Facing east, the sunshine is perfect. Nestled mid-slope with excellent drainage, it's the ideal terroir for Pinot Noir.
