Bernard Magrez, a key player in the Bordeaux wine world and beyond, needs no introduction. In 2004, he bought this fine vineyard from the de Rivoyre family, established on the clay-limestone soils of Tauriac. In the glass, the ruby is dark and frank. The nascent bouquet, still a little closed, requires agitation to release its black fruit, delicate woodiness and a touch of minerality. Well-balanced, supple and fresh on the palate, with an elegant tannic chew that should finish refining fairly quickly. Decant before serving.
Appearance
Generally the robe of the wines of Libournais is deep ruby with purple reflections.
