Grand cru d'exception, domaine jean chartron's bâtard-montrachet combines the magic of an extraordinary côte de beaune terroir with the expertise of one of the region's most gifted winemakers, especially in white wines: long finish and concentrated juice, whatever the vintage. Slightly more marked by wood in its early years than its brother "clos des chevaliers", this racy wine needs to rest a few years in the cellar. It will age gracefully and dazzle you for more than a decade. A unique experience! 100% chardonnay. Vines planted in 1960. 0.12 hectares, clay-limestone soil. Very few bottles per year. Half matured in new oak, half in barrels of 1, 2 and 3 wines. Superb today, ageing potential over 20 years.
