The winemaker

Argentiès Castle is a spectacular vineyard of 400 hectares located in Carcassonne, secluded medieval village in southern France, rated as one of the most beautiful villages. The property once belonged to the Abbey of Lagrasse, founded by Emperor Charlemagne in 778 and considered one of the most powerful abbeys in France, influential to the borders of southern Europe. After the French Revolution in 1793, the castle was Argentiès bought at auction by one of only two French families who were the owners until that we make the acquisition in January 2011. Legend has it that the Alaric mountain, which is located on our property, hiding the treasure of three kings: Alaric Caesar and Solomon, kept by a family of eagles whose wings are on our logo.
