In a few words ...

Grand Cru:. Sheltered by the foothills of the Vosges mountains, it benefits from a particularly dry, warm microclimate. The climate are perfectly suited to Gewurztraminer. Wine from this terroir expresses remarkable finesse and fruitiness. Unquestionably predisposed to longevity, and exalts its typicity and aromas. Vendanges Tardives: A rare and prestigious distinction. Wine harvested when overripe, by successive sorting of grapes affected noble rot (Botrytis cinerea). The intensity and complexity of its aromas, a powerful structure and long and long persistence on the palate make this a true masterpiece. Grape variety: 100% Gewurztraminer, average vine age 51 years Farming: Certified organic and biodynamic, vines under controlled natural and ploughed Harvest: Hand-picked on November 21, 2012, whole grapes pressed. whole grapes Fermentation : 3 months with indigenous yeasts in oak barrels Aging: 8 months in oak barrels
