In a few words ...

Frank Cornelissen's estate is located in Solicchiata, on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, and covers some 15 hectares, 12 of which are planted with vines. Frank cultivates his own vines at altitudes of between 600 and 980 m, with very low yields (between 300 and 600 gr per plant), exclusively from free-standing vines (not grafted), and prefers the classic preparation of sulfur in minimal doses to chemical treatments. The munjebel cuvée from domaine frank cornelissen is made from 40-year-old vines of grecanico dorato and carricante planted on calderara, borriglione, crasà and picciolo plots. Grapes de-stemmed, lightly crushed and macerated for around four days. Aged 18 months in fiberglass, then 18 months in bottle. No fining, no sulfiting, light filtration before bottling. The nose reveals incredible notes of jasmine, dried apricots, orange blossom, almonds, white fruits and a hint of smoke. The palate is intense and complex, thanks to a subtle balance between fruity roundness, acidity and the mineral tension of the terroir. A great wine! Our favorite
