Founded in 1843 on the water's edge of aÿ, maison besserat de bellefon is now based in epernay. For almost two centuries, it has left its mark on the tables and high places of Paris, perpetuating a tradition of high quality by producing wines exclusively for the gastronomic, hotel, wine and delicatessen sectors. Besserat de bellefon is a true ambassador of the French art of living at its most refined and creative, with values centered on tradition, conviviality and simplicity. In 1930, victor besserat took up a challenge and designed a champagne light enough to accompany an entire meal. He created the famous "cuvée des moines" using a process that was unique in the appellation. A demanding champagne of great lightness, with bubbles 30% finer than those of a traditional champagne, which gives the impression of creaming when poured into a flute.
