The winemaker

Wine coworking" is the brainchild of François Massoc, who offers promising and committed winemakers a shared workspace, a sort of collaborative winery located in the commune of Quillón (Nublé). On one condition, however: "the production of high-quality, human-scale wines that recognize the origin and identity of the raw material". This is the case for two of his protégés, Arcana and Co Pa, two up-and-comers with a passion for authentic wines whose mission is to keep alive a unique heritage, that of Itata's traditional grape varieties, through the most natural winemaking possible, focused on the sincerity of the fruit. Behind Arcana is Alberto Barra, a mechanical engineer by profession and winegrower by passion. His goal: to safeguard a heritage of venerable Semillon vines, planted (in droves) 150 years ago in Coelemu on granite and quartz soils. The same philosophy drives Co Pa Wines, whose range is built around torrontel, cinsault and 150-year-old (non-irrigated) païs vines from the granite slopes of Ránquil. Another idea of Chile...
