Terroir : The Pfersigberg or "peach tree hill" is composed of conglomeratic limestone from the Muschelkalk (shell limestone) and Jurassic periods, interbedded with sandstone marl. The particularly dry, sunny climate of this south-facing hillside is home to the emblematic species of the warmest sub-Vosgesian hill stations: the famous green lizard (Lacerta viridis). The flora, calciphilous and xerophytic, is represented by oregano, aristolochia and blood geranium. Vinification: Pneumatic pressing extracts the juice at very low pressures. The
