Domaine Martinolle-Gasparets
(172 customer reviews)
The Martinolle-Gasparets estate benefits from the very specific know-how of two families of winegrowers: the Martinolle family, winegrowers since the 18th century, brings all the knowledge they have acquired over the centuries, while the Salvet family brings their knowledge of the arid lands of the village of Gasparets. The winemaker
The vineyard is located in the village of Gasparets, near Lézignan-Corbières and Narbonne, in the very South of France (Languedoc-Roussillon region, Department of Aude) and deep in the arid Corbières territory. The Martinolle-Gasparets estate is located on the famous terroir of Boutenac where the best wines of the Corbières Appellation are produced.
The climate is dry Mediterranean type and extremely hot during the summer, mild with moderate rainfall during the winter. The terroir is often swept by the 'Cers', a wholesome but sometimes violent wind coming from the North-East or bathed by the gentle humidity of the 'Marin' wind coming from the Mediterranean Sea just twenty kilometres away.
All this, together with the work of the men in the vineyard and in the cellar, produces great vintages, complex and fresh, which bear the mark of great wines.
This is why the Martinolle-Gasparets estate is one of the leading estates in the Languedoc.
